Christmas for Caring – 2025
The Neighborhood Alliance Christmas for Caring program started as a way to provide Christmas cheer and gifts for children enrolled in our Childcare programs. Over the years, it has expanded to include Seniors and Home-Delivered Meal recipients and, more recently, families in our Help Me Grow Home Visiting and Early Intervention programs as well.
This program is our single-largest “In-Kind” (donated goods) donation drive. We could not make this happen without the generous support and participation from our Lorain County community and corporate partners. Last year alone (2024), Christmas for Caring supported over 1,200 participants!
Donors can select from a variety of different holiday gifting options including Family Care Baskets, and Senior Care Boxes. During the donation timeframe, we also host drives for additional items. Visit our Christmas For Caring page to learn more and sign up to spread holiday cheer to Lorain County residents!

For millions of seniors, the holidays are the loneliest time
of the year, as they face silent nights, silent weeks, silent
months — even silent years.
They’re not just lonely during these silent weeks and
months. The winter season can intensify hunger for
homebound seniors, too.
Our organization has the solution to end senior hunger
and isolation. But right now, a growing senior
population, insufficient federal funding, and other factors pose risks to how
funding gets distributed, meals get delivered and seniors
get the help they need to stay healthy at home.
No senior should have to sit in silence this holiday
season, waiting for nutritious meals and moments of
connection. We can change this, together.
